"While I know myself as a creation of God ...."

“While I know myself as a creation of God, I am also obligated to realize and remember that everyone else and everything else are also God’s creation.”

Maya Angelou

A good life ....

A good life
... jewel in a bloom
... gem of a pick
... a warm memory

I came upon it

I came upon it

I was lost in it

This is what life is.

"Some nights, stay up till dawn...."

"Some nights, stay up till dawn

As the moon sometimes does for the sun.

Be a full bucket pulled up the dark way

Of a well, then lifted out into light.

Something opens our wings.  Something

Makes boredom and hurt disappear.

Someone fills the cup in front of us.

We taste only sacredness."

"And still, after all this time, the Sun ...."

“And still, after all this time, the Sun has never said to the Earth,
‘You owe me.’
Look what happens with love like that.
It lights up the sky.”

Rumi

Night clouds

Night clouds

And a shadow,

A heart, forlorn.
