Reaching an age

Reaching an age,

beyond consciousness,

tentacles of age entrapped.

It's a journey

It’s a journey

Everyone has to take,

Sometimes alone –

Who says life is fair –

The journey is not always smooth,

The journey can be a long one;

The only certainty is the destination

when the destination is death.

May you have the stillness

May you have the faith

That you are never alone

in your journey.

"Be as a mirror, grasps nothing yet refuses nothing ...."

"Be as a mirror, grasps nothing yet refuses nothing, receives but does not keep.”

 Bruce Lee

"This learned I from the shadow of a tree ...."

“This learned I from the shadow of a tree

That to and fro did sway upon a wall:

Our shadow selves, our influence, may fall

Where we can never be.”
